Four personal records fall for women's cross country at Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Marymount University women's cross country team ran in the Paul Short Run on Saturday, taking 38th with 1130 points.

Sophomore Luwam Ermias paced the Saints in 211th with a time of 25:52.8 for a new personal best for a 6k race.

Marymount also saw career records set by senior Kaitlyn Reed and sophomore Carly Merrill. Reed placed 245th in 26:43.3, and Merrill finished 270th in 27:09.2.

Junior Clare Polis finished just behind Merrill, placing 274th, with a time of 27:18.0.

The Saints' scoring was finished out by junior Samantha Gimon in 350th, finishing in 32:05.8.

Junior Grace Smith, also, set a career-best in the race, finishing in 35:15.9.

The Saints return to the course on Saturday, October 12 in the Christopher Newport Invitational at Christopher Newport University.
