Women's Cross Country Takes Second At Shannon Henretty Invitational

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Marymount University women's cross country team took the gravel for the second time this season on Saturday, taking second at the Shannon Henretty Invitational, hosted by Stevenson University.

The Saints recorded 50 points in the 6K race, led by junior Clare Polis in ninth place out of 18 runners with a time of 27:46.10. She was closely followed by sophomore Luwam Ermias, who crossed the finish line in 10th at 28:07.05. 

Senior Kaitlyn Reed clocked a time of 28:45.50 for 12th place, and sophomore Carly Merrill come through for a 15th-place finish with a time of 31:08.64.

Junior Grace Smith grabbed 18th to round out the scoring for the Saints, with a time of 39:46.80.

The Saints take a few weeks to prepare for their next race on Saturday, September 28 at the Hornet Harrier Invitational, hosted by Shenandoah University.
