DANBURY, Conn. – Marymount University women's volleyball junior Mykael Johnson was awarded for a strong October, being named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III South Offensive Player of the Month, the league announced on Tuesday.
Johnson averaged 4.52 kills per set for the Saints in October, totaling 208 kills in 14 matches. She notched double-digit kills in all but one match during the stretch and set a career-high 27 kills against Stevenson University on October 22. She added 15 digs against the Mustangs for one of her four double-doubles during the month.
Johnson finished the month with 122 digs, 26 service aces, and 21 total blocks, while tallying 248 total points.
Johnson was named the Atlantic East Conference Player of the Week two times during the month on October 21 and 28.
The Saints will return to the court on Thursday, November 7 in an Atlantic East Tournament semifinal match at the Converse Family Fieldhouse. The match is set for 7 p.m., but the Saints' opponent is to be determined.
