ARLINGTON, Va. – Marymount University women's volleyball junior Mykael Johnson earned her second Atlantic East Conference Player of the Week award of the season, the league announced on Monday.
Johnson helped the Saints post a 3-2 record over the week, including a 3-1 clip in the Worthington Classic over the weekend at Gallaudet University.
She played in four matches on the week, averaging 14 kills per match, including a high of 16 in a 3-0 sweep of State University of New York at Cortland on Friday.
Johnson record her fifth double-double on the season on Saturday against Christopher Newport University, registering 13 kills and 14 digs. In the match, she added two service aces and two blocks.
For the week, Johnson finished with 61 points in the four matches.
She was named to the All-Tournament Team for the weekend at the Worthington Classic.
Johnson and the Saints will return to action on Tuesday, October 1 to open Atlantic East play at Immaculata University, beginning at 7 p.m.
