LANCASTER, Pa. – Marymount University women's lacrosse seniors Jessica Crew and Holly Reik were honored in the first-ever Atlantic East Conference weekly awards, as Crew was named the Co-Offensive Player of the Week, and Reik garnered the Defensive Player of the Week award, the league announced on Monday.
Crew led the Marymount offense in its first game of the season on Saturday, a 15-8 victory over Bridgewater (Va.) College. She had team highs with six points on four goals and two assists, needing only five shots to do her damage.
She also added three draw controls, one ground ball, and one caused turnover.
Reik had a strong game in the cage for the Saints, playing 53:16 and making 11 saves. She only allowed six goals in the game. She finished the game with a 64.7 percent save percentage, while picking up one ground ball.
The Saints travel to Virginia Wesleyan University for their next game on Thursday, February 21; the game is set for 4 p.m.
