Saints take Shenandoah Fall Invitational for first win of 2019

FRONT ROYAL, Va. – The Marymount University women's golf team picked up its first tournament win of the season on Saturday in the Shenandoah Fall Invitational, carding a 691 (+115) as a team.

The Saints were led by sophomore Denise Isabel Trojillo in the 36-hole, one-day competition, as she placed third overall with a 163 (+19).

Freshman Hunter Gillis finished in sixth, carding a 168 (+24) on the par-72 course.

Sophomore Victoria Zarkadas also placed in the top 15, tying for 12th and finishing with a 175 (+31).

Sophomores Janlynn Ngo and Gina Carvelli rounded out the Saints' day, tying for 22nd and 32nd, respectively. Ngo ended with a 193 (+49), while Carvelli finished with a 206 (+62).

The Saints will finish up their fall schedule in the VSGA Women's Intercollegiate at James River Country Club in Newport News, Va., beginning on Saturday, October 19.
