Women's basketball takes over No. 10 in WBCA poll, No. 18 in D3hoops.com rankings

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Marymount University women's basketball team continued to move up the national polls this week, jumping into the top-10 of the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association NCAA Division III Top 25 Coaches' Poll at No. 10, while moving into the D3hoops.com Top 25 at No. 18.

The Saints picked up two more wins last week, including defeating then-No. 8 Messiah College on Saturday, to push their record to 5-0 to open the season. The week earned the team 115 points to move up four spots in the WBCA poll.

Marymount defeated Salisbury University, 61-48, on the road on Wednesday, before taking down the Falcons, 54-51, at the Converse Family Fieldhouse over the weekend.

The Saints earned 175 points in the D3hoops rankings to jump into the poll, after receiving votes in the organization's preseason poll.

Marymount returns to action on Tuesday, November 26 against Stevenson University in the Converse Family Fieldhouse, with the opening tip set for 6 p.m.
