LANCASTER, Pa. – The Atlantic East Conference announced its first weekly awards of the season for basketball on Monday, and Marymount University senior Abby Fisher earned her first-career Atlantic East Player of the Week award.
Fisher led a balanced Saints' attack in their first game of the season on Saturday, in a 64-39 victory over Shenandoah University.
She finished with a game-high 14 points and six assists. She also tied for a team-high six rebounds and two steals.
The Danville, Pa., native shot an efficient five-of-nine from the floor, including going three-for-four from behind the three-point arc.
The Saints will return to action on Friday, November 15 against Haverford College in the Pablo Coto Tip-off Tournament to begin their home schedule; the game is set for 7:30 p.m.
