VaSID names McShea All-State first-team member

ARLINGTON, Va. – The postseason awards continue to roll in for Marymount University women's basketball freshman Katie McShea, as she was named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors Women's Basketball College Division All-State first team, the league announced on Thursday.

In her first season with the Saints, McShea led the team with 16 points per game and 9.1 rebounds per game, while tallying 10 double-doubles on the season. She finished the year second in the Atlantic East Conference in scoring and fourth in rebounding.

She also led the team and ranked second in the Atlantic East by shooting 51.2 percent from the floor and led the Saints with 18 total blocks on the year.

Along with her VaSID selection, McShea has also been named the Atlantic East Conference Rookie of the Year, an All-Atlantic East first-team member, a All-Atlantic Region third-team member, and an All-Eastern College Athletic Conference second-team member.
