DANBURY, Conn. – Freshman Katie McShea, of the Marymount University women's basketball team, was named to the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference second team to add to her impressive award tally for the 2018-19 season.
McShea came on strong for the Saints in her first season in blue and white, leading the team in points per game (16.0) and rebounds per game (9.1). Over the course of the season, she registered 10 double-doubles, while ranking second in the Atlantic East Conference in scoring and fourth in rebounding.
She also led the team and ranked second in the Atlantic East by shooting 51.2 percent from the floor and led the Saints with 18 total blocks on the year.
On top of the ECAC selection, she also was named the Atlantic East Rookie of the Year and an all-conference, first-team selection. She was named to the D3hoops.com All-Atlantic Region third team, as well.
