DOVER, Del. - The Marymount University women's basketball team had no issues throttling to its sixth-straight victory on Saturday afternoon, topping Wesley College 86-24, while junior Regan Lohr eclipsed the 1,000-point barrier with her first basket of the fourth quarter.
Lohr, who needed just 18 points entering Saturday's matchup, put down a game-high 21 points for her sixth game this season with at least 20 points. It was her opening shot in the fourth quarter that put her at the 18 she needed, catching an inbounds pass on the right wing, firing up a good three-pointer.
Lohr was joined by the full roster for the Saints on the scoreboard, as every player registered points. Also finding double figures in scoring were senior Tyffani McQueen and freshman Katie McShea with 15 apiece and junior Gabriella Haddad with 12.
Marymount now moves to 14-4 for the season, and maintains a perfect 5-0 record in Atlantic East Conference play. The only team other than the Saints that still has an unblemished record in the league is Cabrini University, the next opponent for Marymount on Wednesday, January 23. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m., in Radnor, Pennsylvania.
