ARLINGTON, Va. – The Marymount University men's soccer team has earned a spot in the first-ever Atlantic East Conference tournament, as the fifth-seeded Saints will travel to fourth-seeded Immaculata University on Tuesday, October 30 for a contest scheduled for 7 p.m.

How we got here:
The Saints, playing in their first season of the new Atlantic East Conference, posted a 2-4 record in conference play to earn the tournament's No. 5 seed. Marymount solidified its spot in the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Marywood University on Saturday, October 20. Senior Sebastian Hendi gave the Saints the lead in the first half, but the Pacers were able to tie the game in the second half. Senior Mynor Danilo Lopez netted the game-winner in the 88th minute of the game to secure the victory.
How they got here:
Immaculata earned its fourth-seeded position with a 3-3 record in Atlantic East play. The Mighty Macs won their first-three games of the year in conference action, before falling in their final three.
Last time we met:
The Saints and Mighty Macs took the field at Long Bridge Park on October 10 for their first meeting as Atlantic East foes. Immaculata jumped out to a quick, 2-0, lead in the first six minutes of the game. The Saints cut the lead to 2-1 in the 22nd minute, on a goal from Mynor Danilo Lopez, but the Mighty Macs added another score in the first half and two more in the second on the way to a 5-1 victory.
The Marymount offense is led by a pair of seniors in Sebastian Hendi and Mynor Danilo Lopez with 13 and 12 points, respectively, on the year. Lopez leads the team with six goals in the year, while Hendi ranks second with four. Hendi leads the Saints with five assists, which is also good for third in the Atlantic East.
The winner of Tuesday's contest will advance to the Atlantic East semifinals and will travel to either No. 1 Neumann University or No. 2 Cabrini University.
