LANCASTER, Pa. – Marymount University men's lacrosse sophomore Clark Akers was named the Atlantic East Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced on Monday.
Akers helped the Saints to a 1-1 week, with an 11-7 win over Grove City College on Saturday. He tied a career high with seven points against Grove City, while leading the team with three goals and a career-high four assists. He also added four ground balls and one caused turnover.
On Wednesday, Akers posted a team-high four points on two goals and two assists against St. Mary's College of Maryland. He tallied another four ground balls in the game, as well.
Akers was previously named the Atlantic East Offensive Player of the Week on March 4.
The Saints will be back in action on Wednesday, March 27 against DePauw University at Long Bridge Park; the game is set for 7 p.m.
