FROSTBURG, Md. – The Marymount men's lacrosse team fell in a Capital Athletic Conference road matchup to Frostburg State University, 16-3, on Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Stadium.
The Bobcats (5-6, 1-2 CAC) used an eight-goal first half to take the momentum into the half, but the Saints looked to get something going in the third quarter when junior Matthew Ebert connected with senior Brent Sulhoff for the first MU goal of the game less than two minutes into the restart. However, FSU rattled off three straight to build up an 11-1 advantage.
Junior Sean Friedman went unassisted with 6:38 remaining in the quarter to cut the run, but the Bobcats added on more with two seconds remaining to take a 12-2 lead into the final frame.
Marymount found the back of the net one more time in the game, as Friedman found Ebert with 7:29 left on the scoreboard.
Marymount stays on the road for its fourth-straight game on Wednesday, April 4, traveling to St. Mary's College of Maryland for another league battle. Start time is set for 4 p.m.
