ASHLAND, Va. – The Marymount men's lacrosse team fell on the road in the final non-conference matchup of the season, dropping a 12-1 decision to Randolph-Macon College.
Marymount took 25 attempts for the game, 15 on target, seeing just one make it past Yellow Jacket goalkeeper Chris Cerrina who made 14 saves for the day. That lone goal came with 1:27 remaining in the third quarter when senior Nathan Beard roped a pass to junior Josh McIvor for the finish.
Beard's assist moves him to 59 for his career and into sole possession of second in program history. He sits 17 behind of Paul Schiavone ('96) for the top spot, a Marymount Hall of Famer that finished his career with 76 assists.
He also earned his 117th point with the assist, moving him into the Top 10 in program history in the category.
Marymount gets back into Capital Athletic Conference competition on Saturday, March 31, traveling to Frostburg State University. Start time is set for 1 p.m.
