FROSTBURG, Md. - Marymount women's volleyball junior Caroline Hanson totaled her nation-leading seventh triple double while freshman Myah Cordrey had a career-high 13 kills as the Saints rallied from a two-set deficit to knock off overall top-seed Arcadia in the quarterfinals of the ECAC Division III Women's Volleyball Championship Saturday at Frostburg State's Bobcat Arena.
Marymount (16-14) advanced to the ECAC semifinals for the second-straight season with a 26-28, 20-25, 25-14, 25-17, 15-6 victory. The Saints will play Westminster on Sunday at 10:00 a.m., after the Titans defeated host Frostburg State in Saturday's second quarterfinal, 3-2.
Hanson moved in front of Ferrum's Cheyenne Strickland for the most triple doubles in Division III this season with 11 kills, 12 digs and 12 assists. It was also Hanson's 11th career triple after she had four a year ago.
Cordrey had at least 10 kills for the third time this season, finishing with a .269 hitting percentage.
After totaling 22 kills and 18 errors on 93 attempts for a .043 hitting percentage in the first two sets, Marymount totaled 34 kills with only 13 errors on 94 attempts for a .223 hitting percentage over the final three.
Freshman Alexa Marcum just missed out on her first career double double with nine kills and a career-high 12 digs. Junior Ashton Walker added eight kills and six block assists while junior Emily Abramaitys added seven kills.
