Reyes named Second-Team All-CAC for first time in career; First for Saints since 2013

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Sophomore forward Karen Reyes of the Marymount women's soccer team starred on the pitch for another season with the Saints, earning her a spot on the All-Capital Athletic Conference Second Team, the league announced on Thursday.

Reyes breaks a four-year drought of All-CAC honors for the Saints, seeing the last one come in 2013 when Rebekah Krasinski earned a second-team nod. The sophomore forward becomes the 32nd honoree in program history.

Playing in all 16 games this season, she led the Saints in goals, assists and points with 4, 2, and 10, in that order. Taking 38 shots for the year, she put 21 on target. Of the 11 goals this season for MU, she was a part of more than half of them including a season-high two goals against Randolph in the second game of the year.

For her career thus far, she has played in every match for 25 points off nine goals and seven assists.
