Women's soccer stumbles to Shorewomen at UMW Classic

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Marymount women's soccer team stumbled on the final day of the UMW Classic Sunday afternoon, dropping a 4-0 decision to Washington (Md.) College.

The Shorewomen got out ahead early on in the match, finding the back of the net three times in the opening 15 minutes, then again in the second half.

The Saints looked to answer with three shots of their own coming off the feet of sophomore Kylie Egan and junior Madison Grehawick

Junior Sydney Sherman tended the net for the full 90 minutes, making three saves.

The women will look to bounce back with their home opener on Wednesday, September 13, hosting Rowan University at Long Bridge Park for another non-conference matchup. First touch is set for 7 p.m.
