Women's lacrosse named to field of seven for ECAC DIII Championship for second-straight year

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced the extension of the Marymount (Va.) University women's lacrosse team's season on Monday morning, naming it to the field of seven teams this year for the ECAC Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship.

The Saints, who went 10-6 through the regular season, were named the No. 5 seed in the tournament, and will head to No. 4-seed Marywood University (12-6) on Wednesday, May 10 for a first-round matchup. Start time is set for 7 p.m.

Stockton University (9-6) was named the top seed in the tournament, earning it a first-round bye and the right to host the semifinals and championship this weekend in New Jersey.

Pending a victory by Marymount, they'd meet up in the semifinals on Saturday, May 13 against the winner of No. 3 Drew University (11-7) and No. 6 Arcadia University (8-8). That game would be slated to start at 2 p.m., at Stockton.
