Bertacche takes first title of season; Saints take second at Red Devil All-American Classic

CARLISLE, Pa. – For the second time in program history, the Marymount women's golf team claimed an individual title in an event as junior Alessandra Bertacche tied for first place at the Dickinson Red Devil All-American Classic on Saturday.

Bertacche, with a round of 83 (+11), earned the top finish at the Army War College Barracks Course, as she sits with both individual titles in program history. Her other top finish came during her freshman season, taking first place in the final event of the Spring slate at the Stevenson Spring Invitational.

Just two strokes behind the top spot was junior Brandie Hartzell, carding a round of 85 (+13) to take third out of the 14 total competitors. Coming in right behind her in fifth was senior Alexis Miller with an 87 (+15).

Rounding out the scoring group for the Saints were seniors Rebecca Rizy (100) and Courtney VanWie (103) taking eighth and ninth, respectively.

The Saints will look to pick up on their successful Fall in the Spring of 2018.
