Saints Receiving National Recognition in Both D3Hoops and WBCA Polls

ARLINGTON, Va. - Riding a five-game win streak and having won nine consecutive Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) contests, the Marymount women's basketball team was recognized nationally in both the D3hoops.com Top 25 and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Saints are ranked at No. 23 by D3hoops.com and are receiving three votes in the WBCA poll.

Marymount (5-1, 2-0 CAC) has been ranked or receiving votes in six of the last eight WBCA polls and five of the last seven D3hoops.com polls.

The Saints were ranked at No. 20 in the final D3hoops.com poll a year ago and at No. 22 in the final WBCA poll. They have been ranked in each of the first two D3hoops.com polls this year and receiving votes in two of four WBCA polls.

Marymount returns to action on Wednesday when the team travels to Salisbury for a CAC contest with the Sea Gulls beginning at 5:30 p.m.
