Three Personal Records Highlight Finale at NCAA South/Southeast Regional

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Marymount men's cross country freshman Chase Goodwin led the Saints across the finish line at the 2017 NCAA Division III South/Southeast Region Championship, finishing 198th with a personal record time of 30:05.3.

Marymount finished 31st out of 32 teams in its season finale with 976 points.

Goodwin's time was more than a minute faster than his time of 31:18.8 at the CAC Championships where he also was the team's top finisher.

Senior Graham Clark posted a time of 34:19.3 to finish 210th in his final collegiate race.

Senior Joshua Boyd finished three spots behind with a mark of 36:35.1 to lead a trio of Saints across the finish line as freshmen Nicholas Stadtmueller and Lyle Landry finished in order behind. Stadtmueller set a personal record with a time of 36:48.4, shaving almost three minutes off his previous best at the Gettysburg Invitational.

In his third career 8k race, Landry finished in 40:28.5, bettering his previous time of 43:01.50 at the Bobcat Invitational.
