Weitendorf, Coffin lead Saints at VSGA Intercollegiate to conclude Fall slate

RICHMOND, Va. – The Marymount men's golf team wrapped up the Fall slate on Tuesday afternoon, taking 15th place as a team at the VSGA Intercollegiate, a two-day tournament at Stonehenge Golf Club. 

As a team, the Saints pieced together a total score of 633 (+65) led by senior Kyle Weitendorf and sophomore John David Coffin with 39th-place finishes. Weitendorf carded a one-over par 72 in his opening round before putting up an 81 (+10) in the final 18. Coffin played out a round of 78 (+7) in day one, and shaved off three strokes in the final day for a 75 (+4). 

Junior Erik Timlin came in at 65th, hopping 10 spots in the standings after piecing together a 78 (+7) in the final day, two strokes better than his first 18 holes. 

Freshman Ivan Pech (169) and junior Daniel Stone (186) rounded out the Saints in the tournament in 85th and 93rd. 

The squad returns to the course in the Spring of 2018.
