Men's golf takes 12th at PSU-Harrisburg Invitational

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Marymount men's golf team concluded its September slate of tournaments on Sunday, collecting a 12th-place team finish at the two-day PSU-Harrisburg Fall Invitational held at the Country Club of Harrisburg. 

As a team, the Saints put together a two-day total of 642 (+74) led by senior Kyle Weitendorf with an 11th-place finish. Weitendorf carded a 78 (+7) on day one of the par 71 course, before knocking off five strokes in the final 18 holes for a 73 (+2). 

Sophomore John David Coffin also pieced together a stronger second round, shaving off six strokes in day two for a 75 (+4) to bump up to 27th for the tournament with an overall total of 156 (+14). 

Junior Erik Timlin had a great opening round with a 76 (+5), and ended the weekend with an 81 (+10) to come in at 35th. 

Freshman Ivan Pech (178) and junior Daniel Stone (191) rounded out the rest of the Marymount scoring in 72nd and 78th, respectively. 

The Saints return to action on Monday, October 9, traveling to Ashland, Virginia for the two-day Ted Keller Memorial at the Hanover Country Club.
